Current : Seasonal Sales Position

  • GRC is looking for a bicycle sales person with enthusiam and a keen interest in the cycling world. This individual must be an active bike rider, excellent customer communication skills, demonstratable bike knowledge and be comfortable in a front-line sales position for both bikes and accessories. 

Essential attributes are:

  • Courteous customer handling
  • Confident, good listener and communicator
  • Energetic, enthusiastic
  • Establish computer skills
  • Dependable, reliable

Responsibilities would include:

  • bicycle and accessories sales, consultation and fitting
  • web site product updating and maintenance
  • stock maintenance and merchandising
  • product receiving and pricing
  • maintaining customer mail lists and records

A sucessful applicant could turn this into a carreer or retail management position. We encourage both women and men to apply.


Current : Service Technician - part-time

Grand River Cycle is looking to fill a part-time position for an experienced bicycle mechanic. We consider GRC to be the premier retailer of cycling product and service in our area. Our constant focus on customer satisfaction and quality ensures we will maintain that status, as well as grow and continue to be successful.

Standards & expectations are high, so only dedicated individuals should apply. Due to the seasonal nature of our business, a successful and dedicated candidate could turn this into a full-time position in the peak season.

The Service Mechanic position requires:

  • Appropriate oral/ communication skills to support our customer service objectives. (everyone is a sales person)
  • Pefer previous in-shop bike service experience
  • A self-directed worker
  • An active cyclist with passion for cycling and knowledge of bike components and styles
  • A commitment to the satisfaction of our customer and the success of GRC

 Equipment used will include:

  • Full range of specialized and generic bicycle repair tools
  • Cash register, computer and invoice system

 Service Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Customer service and repair assessments
  • Full range of tune-up and component replacement skills
  • Wheel truing and re-build
  • Bike building and tuning
  • Parts ordering support
  • Warranty assessments
  • Product receiving and storage
  • Cash handling and register operation
  • General sales support to the retail floor (backup)
  • This position reports to the senior mechanic.
